The first Peddinghaus rebar bending and shearing machines were introduced onto the market as early as 1926 and are, today, still manufactured and sold under the brand names Perfekt and Simplex.

STEMA built the first Steelmaster automatic stirrup bending machines in 1984, machines featuring high-performance and easy operation. The Peddinghaus Baumaschinen GmbH was taken over in 1997 and successfully incorporated under the name PEDAX Bitburg Maschinenbau GmbH.
